Varun was 14 when his dad died. The money disappeared with him.
Our founder & CEO Varun Aggarwal’s father managed everything, the accounts, the investments, the plans. When he was gone, the family spent years trying to piece it together: which banks held accounts, where the investments were, what even existed. They couldn’t. A lifetime of hard-earned wealth was simply lost on top of losing him.
It stayed at the back of his mind for years. Then Covid happened.
Varun watched families across the globe go through exactly what his had: losing someone they loved, then losing the wealth that person had quietly built pensions unclaimed, accounts undiscovered, investments never found simply because no one else knew they existed.
That was the trigger. Know Your Dosh exists so no family ever has to search for what a loved one left behind because they already share it.
Almost everyone knows this story. You’ve either lived it, or you love someone who has.
OUR MISSION
To help families feel financially confident by giving them a simple, safe and shared space to understand their money together.
Today, that mission tracks over £200 million in assets for families in more than 100 countries. Same reason Varun built it in the first place: no family should lose sight of what they have, or who’s looking after it.
What we value
Our values shape how we behave in the product and out of it.
Empowerment
Help people feel capable, not judged. Confidence is a skill, not a personality.
Family
Money learning happens together across the kitchen table and across generations.
Freedom
Less anxiety. More living. Clarity about money buys back headspace for everything else.
80% avoidance. 20% accounts.
Most families aren’t bad with money they avoid it when things feel unclear. Avoidance is normal. Clarity shrinks fear. A shared view removes confusion. That’s where Know Your Dosh changes things.
We want families everywhere to feel confident and in control when it comes to the people and futures they care about. Wanting the best for those you love shouldn’t feel overwhelming, or be a source of stress.
