Ever wonder where all your money goes each month? We’ve just launched Insights – a brand new area in the Know Your Dosh mobile app that shows you exactly that. With a live transaction feed from all your connected accounts and spending breakdowns by category, you can finally see your household’s financial patterns in real time.
Version 1.4.0 brings Insights plus a handful of other improvements to make managing your family finances faster and clearer.
Here’s what’s new in this update:
1. Insights: Your Money, At a Glance
We’ve added a brand new Insights area that brings everything together in one place. You’ll now see:
- Live transaction feed from all your connected accounts – every payment, every purchase, as it happens
- Spending category breakdown so you can spot exactly where your money’s going (groceries, entertainment, bills – it’s all there)
- Top merchants highlighted automatically, showing you which shops and services take up the biggest slice of your budget
No more digging through individual account statements or trying to remember what that £47.83 charge was for. It’s all right there, categorised and ready to review with your family.
2. Clear Reconnection Prompts
Open banking connections need refreshing every 90 days, that’s just how it works. Previously, you might not have realised a connection had expired until you noticed data had stopped updating.
Now, the app tells you exactly which accounts need reconnecting, right when you need to know. No guesswork, no missing transactions.
3. Assets and Liabilities Sorted by Value
Your Assets and Liabilities pages now automatically sort by value, so the accounts that matter most to your net worth sit at the top. It’s a small change that makes a big difference when you’re getting a quick read on your family’s financial picture.
Mobile App Only (For Now)
Just a heads up: these features are currently available on the mobile app only. We’re working on bringing them to the web app soon, but for now, you’ll need to grab the mobile version to take advantage of the new Insights, reconnection prompts, and sorted views.
